Who is BrewSonic?
At its core, BrewSonic is led by a founder passionate about the world of craft beer. Hugo Pizon, a graduate of the École de technologie supérieure in Montreal, discovered his love for brewing beer. Through conversations with various brewers, he came up with the idea to invent a device that would help extract essential oils from hops more efficiently.
After months of collaboration with Quebec microbreweries, Hugo presented his prototype of the HopSonic. Utilizing ultrasound technology, this revolutionary fermenter helps batches aging more quickly while preserving the characteristic flavors of craft beers.
The Vision of a Thriving Brewing Industry in Quebec
BrewSonic is on a mission to revolutionize the brewing world of tomorrow. By working closely with microbrewers, we’ve developed a dry hopping method while optimizing beer production.
Our main challenge was to reduce water and hop waste during the brewing process. Not only do these resources generate waste (notably spent grains), but they also represent a significant cost to brewers.
By helping microbreweries reduce losses and optimize production costs, BrewSonic aims to support and contribute to the growth of the brewing industry in Quebec.
